Privacy policy.
How Arcas Dynamics collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information through this website.
This policy applies to this website. Santé and Hilt will each be accompanied by their own privacy notice before they are made available, and those notices will govern the information the products handle.
01Who we are
Arcas Dynamics (“Arcas”, “we”, “us”) is a technology company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information under our control, and we handle it in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian law.
Our Privacy Officer is accountable for our compliance with this policy and can be reached as described in the final section.
02Information we collect
We collect only the personal information you choose to give us, and the limited technical information that any website receives.
- Through the contact form: your name, email address, organisation (if you provide one), the topic you select and the content of your message.
- Through the Santé waitlist or the Hilt design-partner form: your email address and any details you choose to provide, used to tell you when the product is available or to discuss taking part.
- When you visit: the infrastructure that serves the website receives standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of each request.
Please do not send health, financial or other sensitive information through the contact form. We do not need it to respond to an enquiry.
03How we use it
- To read and respond to your enquiry, and to keep a record of our correspondence.
- To operate, secure and maintain the website, including detecting and preventing abuse.
- To measure, in aggregate and without cookies, how the website is used; and, on forms, to check through our hosting provider’s verification service, using browser and device signals, that a submission comes from a person.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising. We send commercial electronic messages only with your consent, as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation requires.
04Consent
By submitting a form, you consent to our use of the information you provide for the purpose stated beside it: responding to you, telling you when a product is available, or discussing taking part. We email you about a product only if you ask us to, and every such email lets you unsubscribe. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us. We will explain the likely consequences of withdrawing it.
05Disclosure and service providers
We disclose personal information only to service providers that process it on our behalf, such as website hosting and email delivery, under contractual obligations to protect it and to use it only to provide their services to us; or where the law requires or permits disclosure.
Some service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held in another jurisdiction is subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.
06Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as the law requires. It is then securely deleted or anonymised.
07Safeguards
We protect personal information with physical, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encryption in transit and access limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
08Access and correction
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to learn how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed, and to have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete. We will respond within 30 days, or tell you within that time if we need longer and why.
09Children
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will seek your consent where the law requires it.
11Questions and complaints
Questions, access requests and complaints may be sent to our Privacy Officer at privacy@arcasdynamics.com.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
